Well hello there! Thanks for dropping by, so you want to know a bit more about me do you? Well it all started when I was a wee laddie. I joined, at that time, the largest hospital radio stations in the UK - Edinburgh Hospital Broadcasting Service. I had a great time learning all about the radio industry, presentation delivery and production techniques, not to mention making a listeners day by playing their favorite record requests or dedications.
Time moves on and CD's replaced vinyl records and LP's, mini discs replaced cassettes but one thing stayed the same - me! Decades on and I'm still involved with hospital radio, helping entertain the listener and make their stay in hospital less traumatic.
The 70's and 80's music tends to be my preferred choice, but I'm just as happy to play chart, classical and big band, in fact anything really. Although grey-er, and sporting a middle age exterior, I'm still as young as I was and above all still enjoying volunteering as I did all those years ago. Volunteering for hospital radio has allowed me to gain a new circle friends whom I would not have met without Radio Grapevine.
