Presents:The Friday Night Bonanza

Way back some twenty two years ago I was the stadium announcer at Easter Road, the home of the one and only Hibernian F.C. and was approached to see if I could, due to illness, help out by presenting "A wee drap scotch" for a few weeks. Although my knowledge of the Scottish music scene was limited (my interests in music at that time was Frank Sinatra and the other members of the Rat Pack), I agreed, and the rest as they say, is history. That was my introduction to Radio Grapevine and I've been involved with the station ever since.

My current show is the "Friday Night Bonanza" which I've aired for several years now and get great satisfaction when Colin, my producer, lays down in front me the various requests he collects from the patients, some very good tastes in music and others, shall we say, more ‘specialist’, but they all get played. With all the young talent now presenting programmes at Radio Grapevine my career as a presenter will come to an end sooner rather than later but the one thing I know for sure is that Radio Grapevine's future is in good hands.
